Alright guys, we have made contact with St. Judes hospital.
Now before you say anything like "but Kingdom-Carousel picked them as a charity too!" hear this.
We picked St. Judes because:
1. They're active
2. They actually replied out of the other charities we have mailed and want to co-operate.
3. We may be able to get a thank you letter included in the book from them. MAYBE, very small chance of it as they are a big organization.

Our Theme is Triumph Year  ( Triumph, and a Season representing the Year )

Huh what? what's that?

* To obtain victory; to be successful; to prevail.
* A state of joy or exultation for success.
* A magnificent and imposing ceremonial performed in honor of a general who had gained a decisive victory over a foreign enemy.
* To be prosperous; to flourish.
* Success causing exultation; victory; conquest; as, the triumph of knowledge.
* To play a trump card.

And a Season - Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall ( or combination of all 4 seasons in one image )

Can I contribute to the book?

YES you can! well you might.
There are 2 possibilities:

1. You're an invited artist ~ in that case we have sent you a note
we're actually still inviting, in the past 2 days the 1st range of artists have been selected and invited. If you're curious for our artists then check this journal anime-manga-oc.deviantart.com/…
The next invitations will probably send around the beginning of August. there are over 1000 suggested artists so there is a lot of discussing going on.

2. You're a member of this group
We have so many suggested artists but still there is a ton of talent we don't know about and it might be hiding in our group. Ö
So we give our members a chance on contributing to the book as well. We will open a new folder where all the members can submit their works for the artboook soon. But please keep in mind that participating doesn't garantue you a spot in the book. We will pick the works that we think deserve it the most.

When is the deadline? The new deadline is May 31, 2013!

What size and resolution dou you prefer?
We prefer A4 size thats 297 x 210 mm or 11.7 x 8.3 . The minimum resolution is 300DPI.
A4 size will consume 1pageside. If you're an invited artist you may also work on A3 which means your artwork will be printed on 2 pages. Invited artists let us know if you want to do something big.
If you don't like working on such big a big canvas than give us a nice quote we could put with it.

..and file type ? EPS, TIFF, or PSD. We will do the rest ^^

I'm not good at drawing backgrounds, is a BG necessary? Yes  it is, though we do accept patterns or gradients.

Which season should I pick?

1. If you're an invited artist please reserve your season here LINK You need to in order to contribute. If you don't care about the season and are willing to work something out for any season you might get you can just comment that as well.

2. If you're a member of this group
you have the freedom to chose. YEAH!

-Special (=the 4 seasons in 1 work)

What about Copyright?
You, the artist, retain full and complete copyright over all images you submit to the art book.
You agree to give us the right to edit your work for the purposes of maximum printing advantage, to publish your art in full or in part in this anthology, to use your artwork for any advertising purpose in relation to the art book and for anything else we might print in order to sell the art book.
You will be given full credit anytime your artwork appears and it will not be used in relation to anything else other than this Triumph art book made by Anime-Manga-OC.
We reserve the right to omit any images that do not fit into the theme of art book, break the guidelines below, or do not fulfill the expected level of quality of art from the images in your gallery.

I'm a minor, can I still contribute?
By submitting to this art book, you agree that you are over age 18 or have parental consent.
1. For invited artist, in case you're under 18 you can let you parents send a mail to amoc.artbook@gmail.com or send us a note that has been signed by your parents through the same e-mail adress.
2. If you're a member and we pick you're art. We will send you a note in case your under 18 asking for sign of your parents approval.

So I can make anything as long as it involves a season and the good feeling of triumph ?

What is allowed?
❖ Big/detailed backgrounds
❖ Gijinka/furries/part-anthro/non-humans (elves, cat ears/tail, fairies)
❖ Multiple Characters
❖ Up to five (5) works can be submitted. for group members and for artists it's the same rule
❖ Line art

What is prohibited?
❖ Blood/gore/PG13-or-over stuff
❖ Chimeras (mix of real animal parts)
❖ Fanart
❖ Huge watermark or unintegrated title/text over the image.
❖ Nudity (full-on/nipples/genitals; back is acceptable)
❖ unfinished pictures


Does it have to be a digital drawing/painting?
No it be a sin to exclude traditional art. Our group is a fan of traditional art as well so we gladly accept it.
and ofcourse you can mix that to as well.
So both digital and traditional is allowed. and mixed media as well ofcourse.

Do you accept fanart?
No. For legal and other reasons, we cannot accept fanart. Only Original Characters.

Do I have to draw a new image for this art book?
Yes, a new piece must be made specifically for this art book. Drawings made before today (the 20th of July) are not accepted.

Can anyone enter?
Yes as long as you are older then 18 or have parental consequent.
Make sure your work is in manga/anime style though. (if you're style is inspired by manga/anime it's good enough as well) bv semi-realisticanime or a painting style.

I finished my artwork! What do I do now?

1. For invited artist; make a preview of your work which show less that 40% of the work you created and upload this on your Da and submit to our group previews folder
Send both the preview and the original work to triumphartbook@gmail.com . You can not upload the completed work on deviantart or on any other site.

2. For group members: submit your work to the folder 'Triumph Contest'.  The best ones will be selected.

What will be the price?
We're still looking for the best quality- lowest price solution. Shipping costs won't be included. Our goal is between 35$ and 45 $. (for the book not the shipping ^^')

I'm an invited artist will I get a free copy of the book?
We hope we're able to do that. In  case we can't you'll get the a digital file. Though if you wish to buy the book that's okay with us as well.
We will try our best to have the printing companies we pick to help us have the best price available for you guys..

What will happen with the money you gain from selling/ donations?
We need to cover the printing costs, all the remains will be donated to the charity.

What about Pre-orders? / buying the artbook
Currently or plan is to keep pre-orders open for 3 weeks, starting on the 5th of February 2013. We would love to include some goodies for those who are quick with ordering but that's still in discussion. Pre-ordering will probably go through mail and paypal. We hope to be able to sell the book for 1 year. So we might have a stand at a few conventions. There is a possibility of a cheaper price for the art book if we can sell them at conventions and the like [no mailing fees].

What about Credits
All our contributing artists will be credited. We will also thank all the companies that are willing to support us and hope to include a thank letter from the charity as well.
For the lay out of the book we will be contacting recource-makers as well and also they will receive a credit.

What about promoting
Yes, let everyone know. Inform your school, leisures clubs, friends and family, every single deviant on Da.
